PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Provide electrical power supply to 9 large lighting masts, booster pumps and a crane, on the quays of the port of Reunion Island.

CUSTOMER NEEDS

Ensure site safety by creating a redundant power supply for lighting. Create permanent networks to power a mobile crane. Use equipment resistant to the challenges of climatic conditions, salt air, and tropical storms.

OUR SOLUTIONS IMPLEMENTED

The electrical power is transmitted at 5500 V from only one substation. The substation, with four 5500 V contactor outputs, supplies watertight step-down transformers installed in pits at the base of the lighting masts. One other transformer power supplies the booster pumps. The crane is directly supplied with 5500 V.
The redundancy of the substation’s 1000 kVA transformers ensures continuity of service.

MATERIAL USED

One 5500 V cells with two arrival contactors, one coupling contactor, two auxiliaries transformers and four network contactors, 9 watertight transformers, TER single phase transformer for three phase network, 5,500 V / 230 V; 16 or 25 kVA,
One step-down transformer 250 kVA 5,500 V / 400 V to power supply the booster pumps.

CUSTOMER BENEFITS

Watertight (IP68) and corrosion resistant transformers

Small cable cross-section reduces costs and allows for the transmission of high-power rating

Secured power supply from only one substation
