Local officials joined Aretè Cocchi Technology’s corporate team and local managers and employees to celebrate its new high-tech U.S. headquarters in Franklin Park, Illinois, on May 22, 2024.
The new base unites four business units in a 27,000-square-foot building with offices and factory space strategically located about 20 miles west of Chicago, near Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
The companies’ close proximity allows their teams to collaborate and innovate in four distinct yet overlapping business fields:
- Airfield Technology, covered by the historic Chicago brand Multi Electric and its storied Italian partner OCEM Airfield Technology, both pioneers in offering energy-efficient airfield lighting solutions.
- Packaging Solutions, with CT Pack USA adapting the most advanced European packaging solutions for the North American market.
- Science Applications, featuring OCEM Power Electronics and Ampegon collaborating with some of the world’s largest international scientific projects to provide power systems, supplies and amplifiers.
- Robotics and Industry Automation, with Reis Robotics USA developing complex systems and turnkey solutions for industrial processes.
Offering an ideal logistics hub close to key U.S. clients, the base will help the group rapidly grow its U.S. revenue to $50 million. Its global turnover is currently more than $270 million.

Working at the forefront of sustainability, the group’s products make airfields more energy efficient; power research labs developing fusion energy and other green technologies; and reduce consumption and waste in the packaging industry.
Representatives from the Illinois Office of Trade and Investment and the Cook County Department of Planning and Development were on hand to inaugurate the new site.
