The energy and climate debate sets ambitious objectives to reach carbon neutrality by 2050. All sectors are concerned, such as outdoor car parks of supermarkets. An article provides that outdoor car parks with an area exceeding 1,500 m² are equipped, “on at least half of this area”, with photovoltaic panels for the “production of renewable energies”.
The combination of a step-up station close to photovoltaic panels and a step-down station close to the user makes it possible to transport the energy produced farther, more easily while reducing costs and energy losses. This solution mainly reduces the cable section and thus removes all current constraints related to distance/transportable power.
