 Project features

  • TOTAL POWER: 200 kVA or 400 kVA
  • TRANSPORT VOLTAGE: 6,600 V
  • NETWORK LENGTH: According to the 6,600 V loop of each nuclear power plant
  • LOCATION: France
  • YEAR: For over 30 years to the present day

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

To supply electrical equipment for maintenance of part of a nuclear power plant during the shutdown of a production unit.

CUSTOMER NEEDS

Connect a DNX transformer substation to an existing 6,600 V loop in the power plant. Install 6,600 V switch cells at strategic points to allow connection of a 6,600 V to 400 V step-down substation. The substation must be movable and secured according to the work to be carried out.

OUR SOLUTIONS IMPLEMENTED

Creation of a 6,600V mobile substation equipped with low-voltage circuit breakers, Maréchal sockets, and a reel containing 15 meters of flexible 6,600V cable. The DNX mobile substation connects to a wall-mounted switch, which is permanently connected to the 6,600V loop of the power plant.

MATERIAL USED

A nuclear power plant is typically equipped with:

  • 20 to 40 wall-mounted 6,600 V switchgear cabinets
  • 10 to 20 mobile 200 kVA or 400 kVA 6,600 V / 400 V substations
